The hotel is situated in the middle of an industrial estate which means that there are limited shops and restaurants available as the center of Englewood is around 2 -3 miles away. There is a good pizzeria, a small general store and hairdresser who service the residents living in the flats around the corner from the hotel. The hotel itself is clean although the rooms are not very big. The choice at breakfast is very good and there is a bar which is open the evenings. There is also a small shop next to the reception area which sells water, cereal bars, baskets of fresh fruit etc. and is reasonably priced. Although there is a heated pool the area itself is not attractive and the towels were of poor quality, also there is no shower in this area. There is free wi-fi available and it is air conditioned. The bathroom in our room required updating and the toiletries supplied were of cheap quality, no shower gel but a small bar of soap. The staff at the front desk were helpful and printed the bus timetable and gave directions to the bus stop (about 7 minute walk from the hotel) to travel to central New York. There is plenty of parking and the hotel appears to be well used for conferences and families and couples visiting for the weekend.
